About Me

Originally from suburban Washington, D.C., I’ve worked across the country and around the world, telling people’s stories. I’ve reported on the complexities and failures of the criminal justice system in parts of the U.S. and New Mexico. I’ve documented how environmental change is reshaping lives from Argentina to Montana. Today I travel more than 8,000 miles a year - sometimes in tractors, ATVs, or bush planes - listening to the voices from those in some of the American West’s smallest, most rural communities. Whether in print, audio, or photography, I consider it a privilege to ask questions, explore policy, dive deep, and share truth.
